
Jennifer has always wanted to achieve the status of a multi-tasking superstar. As a child she played a myriad of genres of music, but she particularly enjoyed Afro-Caribbean dances such as salsa, merengue, bachata and merengue, as well as popular music such as hip-hop, pop and R&B. Even though she was an avid music lover but the world of film also attracted her. West Side Story (1961), Rita Moreno's musical that has had the most influence on her and was her most significant influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Alongside being a talented professional entertainer Jennifer had also been a Catholic girl who spent eight years at a Catholic elementary school called Holy Family which was located at The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls prep school, Preston High School after a four-year stay. At the school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete who played in tennis and track. In Castle Hill, she spent the majority of her time in a 2-story residence. At 18, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. At the time, Lopez worked at a law firm and took dancing jobs at night.
